LEADING THE WAY IN RAILWAY SIGNALLING & WAYSIDE TECHNOLOGY
PROJECTS
EASTERN SUBURBS RAILWAY
As part of construction works for re-railing and improving track acoustics in the Eastern Suburbs Railway, SJM Rail Signalling provided support works across the Easter 2018 weekend.
This included the design and fabrication of plates to elevate Pneumatic Train Stops to the new track height, and to provide all testing and commissioning, including cleaning and routine maintenance of all Signalling Apparatus in the affected areas.
MORTDALE MAINTENANCE CENTRE
To accommodate the introduction of the New Intercity Fleet SJM Rail Signalling was commissioned to relocate new rail systems into roads 2 and 3 within Mortdale Maintenance Centre.
Works included modifications to the existing pantograph system along with introduction of new 1:12 turnouts to allow movements in and out of the facility; these works were completed early 2018
MT OWEN
Existing turnout infrastructure within the Hunter Valley Corridor has been renewed in the 2017 annual works program. 53 points on the Up Main at Mt Owen in the Hunter Valley Region of NSW was renewed with a 60Kg Head Hardened, 500 radius 1:15 Swing Nose Layout. SJM Rail undertook the renewal works planned for these points. This entails booking out of equipment, removal and reuse of certain point components, rebuilding point layouts, and testing and certification of all altered works.
ARTC HUNTER VALLEY
MAITLAND TO TELERAH
Installation at Farley 420B project enabled the SJM Rail Signalling team to deliver all signalling aspects for the first 60KG Tangential turnout Spherolock in front Inbearer and back drive installation onto the Hunter Valley network. These works also included new pit and pipe trenching along with relocation of signalling infrastructure.
All pre works, installation, testing and commissioning works were performed by the team who worked hand in hand with nominated track and civil companies.
ARTC HUNTER VALLEY
Within our multidiscipline and flexible team at SJM Rail Signalling, we have undertaken all signalling works in partnership with numerous Track and Civil contractors on delivery of strategic track upgrades on the Hunter Valley Network. These works include but not limited to, Track Re Railing, Track recon, Drainage profiling, Installation of new Insulated Block Joints, resleeping, Turnout replacement and signal and point relocations. Locations on delivery such as Coggen Creek, Widden Creek, Sandgate and Wollar shows SJM Rail Signalling can deliver in remote areas to the suburban networks.
TAS RAIL TASMANIA
The SJM Rail Signalling team attended Tasmania and assisted in the development of the Tas Rail team to deliver installations of 1 in 8 Trailable Points on 50kg with timber bearers.
The first installation at Bocco Siding was fully installed by the team at SJM Rail Signalling with training and advice on best practices given to members of the Tas Rail team.
We deliver design on time and within budget for each stage of a signalling projects life.
